2016 Torbreck The Struie Shiraz

Magnificent colour saturation pouring an impenetrable inky black with a very deep dark purple black hue. Heady aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherries and liquorice weave their way out of the glass with elements of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice ensuing. Rich slick feel with powerful and opulent flavours of blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and traces of luscious black cherries engulfing the mouth underscored by lightly toasted vanillin cedar, faint notions of fennel and spicy pepper. Outstanding concentration and length with silky smooth yet at the same time sturdily built tannins. Long ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, smoky vanillin cedar and spice aftertaste.
