2016 Tim McNeil Shiraz

Matured in 20% new French oak hogsheads for 24 months. Magnificent dense inky black colour with an equally deep black dark red hue. Pronounced ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas dominate the nose with elements of black plum, smoky vanillin cedar, black olive and black pepper also evident. Rich luscious black cherry, black plum and liquorice fruits engulf the mouth, showing great density and concentration. Smoky cedar, earth and peppered dried herb elements sit underneath. Fabulous power with ripe, polished yet firm tannins providing the framework. Concludes long, rich and opulent.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
