2016 Thorn-Clarke Sandpiper Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a deep dark purple hue. Liquorice and inky dark plum aromas combine with toasty vanillin oak and spice. Possessing good palate weight and richness juicy dark plum and liquorice flavours dominate over notions of pen ink, vanillin cedar and spicy scorched earth. Opulent textural feel with a dryish finish and slightly gravely tannins. Long spicy dark plum, liquorice, inky earth and vanillin cedar aftertaste. Boasts surprisingly good depth and richness for the price.
