2016 The Wilson Vineyard Pepperstone Shiraz

Aged in combination of French and American oak for 12 months. Superb saturation of colour displaying an inky pitch black core with a deep dark red black hue. Heady ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate aromas waft from the glass followed by vanillin oak, confectionary and spice. Medium to full bodied flavours of dark plum, blackberry and liquorice fill the mouth with an undercard of vanillin cedar and light spice. Finishes with good freshness. Finely grained yet sturdy tannins provide good support to the fleshy mid palate. Aftertaste of spicy dark plums, blackberries, liquorice and vanillin cedar.
