Includes a small percentage of Viognier with maturation taking place in French oak barriques for a period of 12 months. Deep black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Lifted liquorice and blackberry aromas are overlaid with vanillin oak, earth, leather and pepper notes. Medium to full in body and nicely fleshed on the front half with liquorice and blackberry fruit it fades away towards the drying finish leaving behind vanillin oak, peppered earth and leather characters. Chalky tannins with earthy leather elements lingering through the aftertaste.
