Totally opaque inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. Ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas are overlaid by prominent charry oak notes with some spiced dried herbs also present. Well weighted but not quite as heavy as previous vintages, the fruit is once again overwhelmed by charry vanillin oak elements which dominates the finish and aftertaste. Dry, slightly chewy tannins with lingering charry vanillin oak elements.
