2016 Telmo Rodriguez Corriente Rioja

Midnight black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated black cherry and liquorice aromas morph into earthy vanillin cedar notes with dried meats and spicy herbs also chiming in. Medium weighted black cherry and liquorice fruits have a supple and quite elegant feel across the palate with elements of earth, dried meats, dried herbs and spicy cedar flowing onto the back half. Slightly dryish but otherwise well integrated tannins show good polish. Concludes a touch chewy yet savoury.
