Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with glimpses of green around the edges and a watery hue. Spicy pear and lime aromas have an overlay of honeysuckle and toast with some lemon butter and cinnamon notes also evident. Vibrant pear and green apple fruits show excellent freshness with some bees wax, lemon butter, toast and spice elements lying on the back half. Energetic yet slightly waxy feel. Steely acidity with a long elegant finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
1927 Vines is fine example of the amazing versatility of the marsanne grape. It is probably its purest expression, capturing its essential beauty early and then allowing bottle age to bring complexity. From 2016 we see lovely florals emerging on the bouquet, showing signature honeysuckle, grilled grapefruit and almond development. Belies its age with a youthful energy and drive across the palate, lively acidity matched by a soft texture. By no means at its peak. Drink by 2030.
