2016 Sutton Grange Syrah

Superb colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a vibrant dark purple hue. Youthful nose with freshly crushed blackberry and dark raspberry aromas intermingling with liquorice followed by some smoky vanillin cedar and blackpepper notes. Medium to full bodied with a vibrant youthful feel the palate is filled with juicy dark plum, dark raspberry and liquorice flavours which sit over vanillin cedar, traces of earth and spicy pepper. Finishes dry with bright acidity and slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of inky dark plum, raspberries, liquorice, vanillin cedar and spicy pepper.
