Totally opaque black dark red core with a vibrant dark red hue. Lifted ripe dark to black cherry, blackberry and liquorice aromas have a meaty overlay with elements of earth and peppered herbs ensuing. Refined, medium bodied palate with juicy dark to black cherry, blackberry and liquorice fruits underpinned by vanillin cedar, light earth and peppered dried meats with some provincial herb infusions also evident. Good length with fine grained tannins and well balanced acidity leading into an elegant medium to long aftertaste.
