2016 Sons of Eden Remus Old Vine Shiraz

Sourced from 50 plus year old vines the wine was matured in French oak hogsheads, 50% new, for a period of 22 months. Impressive inky black core that’s totally opaque with a deep dark purple black hue. Pronounced dark plum and liquorice aromas are married to black cherries, smoky vanillin cedar, light fennel and pepper. Rich and opulent yet fresh, vibrant and finessed the palate possesses an explosive flavour profile of spicy blackberries, dark plums and liquorice over a base of fennel and smoky vanillin cedar with a blackpepper infused finish. Bright youthful acidity and refined tannins provide an excellent framework. Tremendous power concluding with spice, fresh blackberry, dark plum, liquorice, smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and blackpepper.
