2016 Singlefile Chardonnay

Brilliant straw colour in appearance with a glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Delicate aromas of white peaches, nectarines and citrus are overlaid by gun flint like characters with dried honey, roasted biscuit and spicy nougat ensuing. Rich mouthfilling palate with flavours of ripe pears and peaches intermingling with notions of honeycomb over some toasty oak, biscuity nougat and spice. There’s some creaminess to the mouthfeel finishing dry with balanced acidity and a long aftertaste of pears, peaches, dried honey, roasted almonds, subtle nougat and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years.
