2016 Shaw & Smith Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright ruby red to dark red colour with a light crimson hue. Fragrant aromas of violets, ripe red cherries and strawberries intermix with subtle clove and dried meat nuances followed by spicy cedar end notes. Light in weight the palate possesses a gentle, understated richness and good power with flavours of ripe red cherries, sour cherries and strawberries subtlety infused with dried clove and a touch of meatiness over a spicy cedar back drop. Slightly dryish but very fine grained tannins with bright acidity. Aftertaste of spicy ripe red cherries, sour cherries, strawberries, notions of clove, dried meats and cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
