2016 Shady Lane Grampians Shiraz

Matured for 12 months in old French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of ripe blackberry and dark cherry combine with liquorice over spicy vanillin oak and hints of earth. Medium bodied with good richness the palate possesses juicy blackberry, plum and liquorice flavours which sit over a back drop of lightly toasted vanillin cedar and subtle pepper. Supple mouthfeel finishing savoury with well balanced acidity and polished tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, liquorice, subtlety earthed vanillin cedar and pepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
