Matured in new to 4 year old French oak barriques for 16 months with 15% whole bunch inclusion. Impenetrable black core with a deep dark red black hue. Aromas of liquorice, black cherries and fennel are overlaid by hints of smoky oak with spicy blackpepper end notes. Rich and full with a sumptuous yet elegant feel the palate is flooded with black cherry and liquorice flavours which are infused with clove, fennel, subtle earth, smoky cedar and blackpepper. Fine grained tannins have a sturdy underbelly. Medium length aftertaste.
