Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Nosing offers up dark to black cherry aromatics with a whiff of anise, earthy forest floor, toasty cedar and spice also evident. Turning up the intensity a notch or two, the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark to black cherries and anise which show tremendous richness over a toasty oak, forest floor and spicy dried herb back drop. Fullish, almost sumptuous mid palate feel. Excellent power wave concluding with a long spicy dark fruited aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Rich and svelte at once, its cherry-berried flavours, cedar wood and sweet spice notes entirely seductive both in isolation and in team. This is the way to combine the swishness of oak, the sweet-sour tang of varietal fruit, and studs of spice and leaves. The statement it makes on quality is clear. Drink by 2026.
