2016 Schwarz Wine Co. Shiraz

Impenetrable black purple colour with a deep bright dark purple hue. Aromas of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum show great elevation with notions of fennel, faint clove and spicy vanillin cedar also chiming in. Medium to full bodied with a plush, slippery textural feel, succulent ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice flavours decorate the palate over a back drop of fennel, vanillin cedar and spice. The tannins have a slightly dryish feel to them but are otherwise quite velvety. Long spicy aftertaste of blackberries, dark plums, liquorice, subtle fennel and vanillin cedar.
