2016 Santolin Gruyere Pinot Noir

Incorporates 15% whole bunch with maturation taking place in French oak (30% new) for a period of 10 months. Semi translucent bright dark red core with a light red hue. Fragrant ripe cherry and strawberry aromas overlaid by dried herbs are followed by vanillin cedar with a varnish like whiff as an end note. Supple and round in the mouth, ripe cherry and strawberry flavours dominate over vanillin cedar, subtle forest floor and spicy dried herbs. Finishes bright with silky tannins and an aftertaste of ripe cherries, strawberries, dried herbs and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
