Opaque black core with a dark red black hue. The nose expels aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry followed by cedary tobacco characters, hints of black olive and spicy dried herbs. Medium bodied the palate has a refined flavour profile of red to black currants and mulberry over subtle notions of black olive, cedary tobacco characters and bay leaf. Slightly dryish but well integrated fine grained tannins. Concludes with a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Trophy Best Cabernet, Yarra Valley Wine Show '17. 25yo vines; fermented wild in open vats; matured in 300l French oak, 30% new. It gives elegance a touch up but it's the seamless combination of fruit and oak that really lifts your heart rate. Blackcurrant, bay leaf, cedar wood and black olive flavours swoosh through the palate in confident style, mint and boysenberry notes keeping the conversation flowing and fresh. Everything here is dotted and crossed; it's immaculate. Drink by 2036.
