2016 Rainoldi Rosso di Valtellina Nebbiolo

Semi translucent dark red core with a light brick red hue. Toasty dried clove top notes intermix with hints of cherries, rose petals, earth and spicy dried herbs. Showing more purity than the nose the supplely textured light to medium weight palate has flavours of ripe dark cherries, dried Morello cherries, dried clove, earthy leather characters and spice. Finishes with a lick of bright acidity, slightly dryish but velvet like tannins and a medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
