Querce Bettina is a family owned and run vineyard on the southwest slopes of Montalcino, husband and wife team Sandra Barenghi and Roberto Moretti bought the 29ha estate in 1990. Maturation took place in Slavonian oak for 12 months.

A superb Rosso di Montalcino that highlights all the strengths of the great 2016 vintage.

Deep dark red black core with a bright dark red hue. Fragrant scents of red currants and ripe red cherries with a subtle rose petal overlay fill the nostrils. Ensuing are notions of dried herbs, subtle tobacco, earth and spicy cedar. Mid weighted, delightful ripe red currant and red cherry fruits have an unwavering red fruited richness yet also show a remarkably fresh vibe. Flowing onto the back half are complexing elements of dried herbs, tobacco, subtle earth and spicy cedar. Possesses fantastic drive with a tannin structure that’s sternly built and slightly rustic. The aftertaste long, refined and incredibly savoury. A great immediate drinking option whilst you let your 2016 Brunello’s sleep.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
