2016 Poonawatta Four Corners Shiraz

Midnight black in colour with a deep dark purple hue. Intense aromatics of liquorice, blackberry, dark plum and toasty vanillin cedar waft from the glass followed by notions of scorched earth, dark chocolate and spice. Medium to full bodied with a soft silky feel, the palate is richly flavoured with opulent dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits which meld into vanillin cedar, fennel, subtle earth and pepper. Velvet smooth tannins. Good power finishing medium to long.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
