2016 Pondalowie Vineyards MT+ Tempranillo

Great depth of colour displaying an impenetrable black core with a deep dark red black hue. Intense ripe black cherry and liquorice scents dominate the aromatic profile with vanillin oak, hints of leather and spice also evident. Full bodied the palate is awash with rich black cherry and liquorice flavours that hold sway over vanillin cedar, earth and spice. The opulence of the fruit is slightly tempered by ripe chewy tannins that impart a little bit of grip to the back palate. Long conclusion of ripe black cherries, liquorice, vanillin cedar, lightly scorched earth and spice. A big dark brooding Tempranillo.
