2016 Pierro Chardonnay

A Sterling example of Margaret River Chardonnay possessing a finish that seemingly lingers on forever.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive greenish tinge to the edgings and a watery hue. Powerful aromatics of nectarines and delicate white peaches laced with funky gun flint characters are followed by subtle dried honey, citrus, biscuity oak and spice. Rich mouthfilling flavours of white peaches, ripe nectarines and dried honey laced with complexing gun flint characters fully encompass every corner of the palate over a back drop of spicy biscuity oak, citrusy nougat, light toast and mineral. Creamy like yet fresh textural feel finishing dry with vibrant, perfectly balanced acidity. Outstanding power and concentration with an exceptionally long aftertaste of white peaches, ripe nectarines, dried honey, smoky gun flint characters, spicy biscuity oak, light toast and citrusy nougat that seemingly lingers on forever. Outstanding.
