2016 Pierre-Marie Chermette Origine Beaujolais Vieilles Vignes

Bright dark red core with black tinged edges and a light purple red hue. The nose displays aromas of spicy red cherries and raspberries infused with dried clove followed by hints of violets, scorched earth and fresh herbs. Light in body the palate has flavours of crunchy red cherries and a touch of sour raspberry over subtle dried clove and scorched earth infusions. Spicy fresh herbs make an appearance on the vibrant finish. Polished fine grained tannins. Good length with an aftertaste of spicy red fruits, subtle dried clove, light scorched earth and fresh herbs.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
