Peter Lehmann’s VSV (Very Special Vineyard) wines are only made in exceptional years when a single site excels. This Cabernet is a blend of two low yielding vineyards tended by Dudley and Trevor Ruediger situated to the North of Nuriootpa. Maturation took place in French oak hogsheads for a period of 15 months.

A deep, dark, mouthfilling Barossa Cabernet.

Magnificent dense inky black colour with a very deep black dark red hue. Pronounced ripe black currant, liquorice and black cherry aromas flow out of the glass trailed by vanillin cedar, traces of tobacco, dried herbs and spice. Rich blackcurrant fruits engulf the full bodied palate creating a lavish feel over liquorice, subtle black cherry, cedary tobacco, dried herb and spice elements. The weight and density of fruit create a velvet like impression despite robust tannins sitting underneath. Superb power with a long blockbuster aftertaste that’s saturated with black fruits.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.5%
