2016 Penley Estate Atlas Coonawarra Shiraz

Excellent colour displaying an inky midnight black core with a dark purple black tinged hue. Lifted freshly crushed blackberry aromas combine with liquorice and a hint of spearmint over vanillin confectionary. Still very much in the adolescent stages of development the palate has a youthful inky feel, dishing up vibrant flavours of freshly crushed blackberries and liquorice infused with spearmint over vanillin cedar and light spice. Dry finish with chalky tannins and bright acidity. Aftertaste of crushed blackberries, liquorice, inky vanillin cedar and spice.
