2016 Peninsula Panorama Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a crimson red hue. Aromas of spicy dark and red cherries overlaid by meaty characters rise from the glass with ensuing spicy cedar and faint dried herb notes. Light, savoury and possessing good power the palate displays excellent varietal character with dark cherry and strawberry flavours subtlety laced with anise followed by some meatiness and spicy cedar. The tannins have a supple feel to them and show great integration. Medium to long finish of dark cherries, strawberries, subtle infusions of anise, meaty cedar and spice. Uncomplicated, this is a very tasty entry level Pinot that delivers great value.
