2016 Patrick Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Aged in a combination of 60% American oak and 40% French oak barriques for a period of 18 months. Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas marry into vanillin oak and tobacco characters with some black olive and subtle spicy bay leaf notes also present. Medium to full bodied the palate is decorated with rich blackcurrant fruits which sit alongside some mulberry, black olive, vanillin oak, tobacco and spicy dried herb characters. Fine grained yet sturdy tannins with a medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
