2016 Oakridge Over the Shoulder Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. A subtlety scented nose reveals aromas of delicate pears and nectarines that intermingle with cashew, hints of dried honey and traces of gun flint. Rich yet elegant in the mouth with a refined flavour profile of delicate white peaches and pears intermeshed with dried honey and cashew to create a sense of textural creaminess. Finishes dry with a dash of spice and well judged acidity. Medium to long aftertaste of delicate white peaches, dried honey, cashew and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

From vineyards in four locations in the Lower and Upper Yarra Valley, the grapes pressed directly to a mix of stainless steel and French oak barrels for fermentation and maturation. It has a generous serve or ripe stone fruits (white peach and nectarine to the fore), balanced by oak and natural acidity. Drink by 2022.
