2016 Oakridge Local Vineyard Series Willowlake Vineyard Chardonnay

Matured for 10 months on lees in 500 litre French oak puncheons. Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Elevated white peach and nectarine aromas are overlaid by dried honey with infusions of gun flint and citrusy nougat adding further interest. Elegant with a light creamy feel and understated richness the palate is filled with ripe white peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours which are infused with flinty matchstick characters over a background of citrusy nougat and spice. Clean dry finish with well balanced fresh acidity. Long aftertaste of ripe peaches, nectarines, subtle dried honey, gun flint, light cashew, citrusy nougat and spice.
