2016 Nocturne Cabernet Sauvignon

Outstanding inky black colour with a deep bright dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced blackcurrant and mulberry aromas are supported by nuances of cedary tobacco characters, a whiff of bay leaf and spicy dried herb notes. Rich yet elegant and structured the medium bodied palate is flooded with youthful blackcurrant and mulberry fruits over a back drop of cedary tobacco characters, a touch of black olive and faint bay leaf. Fresh youthful acidity combines with firmly built, dryish tannins which gives the wine some tension. Slightly grippy finish. Excellent length with a long aftertaste of spicy blackcurrant, mulberry, subtle black olive, cedary tobacco characters and faint bay leaf infusions. One for keeping.
