Sourced from vines varying in age from 16 to 121 years old, this blend of 58% Grenache, 27% Shiraz and 15% Mataro saw 30 months maturation in French oak. Dense midnight black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Heady black raspberry and liquorice scents mix with mocha, vanillin oak and spicy earth. Decadently rich and plush, the full bodied palate is saturated with opulent black raspberry, liquorice and black plum fruits. Chiming in on the back half are notions of vanillin oak, scorched earth, mocha and spice. Velvety tannins with a long bold and concentrated finish.
