Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a rustic dark red hue. The nose has a varnishy edge to it with dark cherries, cedar, earth and spice also evident. Medium bodied with a supple mouthfeel the palate has flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plums interacting with vanillin cedar, subtle earth and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with the acidity a fraction sharp on the finish. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, earthy vanillin cedar, spice and faint notions of varnish.
