2016 Musk Lane Earthside Syrah

Outstanding colour featuring a dense inky black core with a deep dark purple black hue. A touch closed the nose slowly reveals aromas of black cherries and liquorice laced with graphite, vanillin cedar, black olives and blackpepper. Much more open and forthcoming than the nose, the rich concentrated palate delivers expansive flavours of blackberries, ripe black cherries and liquorice over vanillin cedar, subtle scorched earth and blackpepper. Dryish finish with ripe chewy tannins providing the structure as well as some grip. Long aftertaste of luscious blackberries, liquorice, black cherries, spicy vanillin cedar, earthy graphite and blackpepper.
