2016 Mr Riggs Montepulciano

Magnificent inky black dark purple colour with a very deep bright dark purple black hue. Fragrant aromatics of juicy dark cherries and liquorice blossom from the glass followed by some dark plum, faint scorched earth and spice. Rich and fresh with a vibrant, chewy mouthfeel the palate is awash with succulent juicy dark cherries, inky dark plums and liquorice over vanillin cedar, light earth and spice. Dry finish with vibrant acidity and ripe grippy tannins complimenting the lashings of dark fruit. Excellent concentration with an aftertaste of freshly crushed berries, dark plums, liquorice, inky earth and spice.
