2016 Mont-Redon Reserve Cotes du Rhone

Very deep dark red black colour with a bright red dark purple hue. Elevated aromas of black raspberries, black cherries and liquorice intermix with scorched earth, subtle incense infusions and spicy dried herbs. Medium bodied and possessing plenty of richness, the palate is detailed with flavours of black raspberries and liquorice over infusions of incense, subtle scorched earth and spicy herbs du Provence. Good freshness on the finish with refined well integrated tannins providing a solid framework for short to medium term cellaring. Savoury conclusion with a very persistent aftertaste.
