2016 Ministry of Clouds Tempranillo Grenache

A blend of 77% Tempranillo and 23% Grenache matured for 10 months in old French oak barriques. Opaque dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright purple red hue. Fragrant aromas of ripe dark cherries and dark raspberries are followed by some liquorice and subtle infusions of new leather with spicy end notes. Ripe juicy dark raspberry and dark cherry flavours fill the medium bodied palate over liquorice, incense infusions and spice. Bright finish with perfectly integrated velvet like tannins. Excellent richness and depth with a long savoury aftertaste of ripe dark raspberries, dark cherries, liquorice, subtle earthy incense infusions and spice. Awash with succulent dark fruits this savoury blend will be delicious drinking over the next 5-6 years.
