2016 Ministry of Clouds Shiraz

Ten percent whole bunch inclusion with maturation taking place in old French oak barriques for 12 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Nosing yields plummy blueberry and liquorice scents over vanillin cedar, a hint of fennel and pepper. Medium bodied, the palate shows a sense of elegance for McLaren Vale Shiraz yet is still juicy dishing up flavours of dark plums, liquorice and ripe blueberries underpinned by smoky vanillin oak, dried meats and pepper. Bright finish with velvet like tannins and an aftertaste of plummy blueberries, liquorice, smoky vanillin oak and pepper.
