Other Reviews....
Lurid violet. Lively blueberry, smoky bacon, olive and cracked pepper aromas take on a floral quality with aeration. Sappy and broad on the palate, offering juicy dark fruit, spicecake and floral pastille flavors and a hint of smoky minerality. Closes with repeating smoke and blue fruit notes, harmonious tannins and very good persistence. Drink 2022 - 2029.

Josh Raynolds - Antonio Galloni's Vinous (March 2019)

Aged half in concrete and half in used demi-muids, the 2016 Saint-Joseph Les Granilites comes from the alkaline granite soils around Mauves and Tournon. Full-bodied and concentrated, it offers black olive and blackberry notes framed by supple yet chewy tannins, finishing on a long and softly dusty note. Drink 2018 - 2028.

Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (November 2018)

Deeper ruby/purple-colored, the 2016 Saint Joseph Les Granilites is a more serious wine, with good acidity in its blackberry, black cherry, cassis, and ground herb-like aromas and flavors. It has a distinct granite character, medium body, beautiful purity, and will keep for 8-10 years. This cuvée was brought up in equal parts concrete and used demi-muids.
