2016 Matteo Correggia Roero

A 100% Nebbiolo that has all of varieties classic floral aromatics, vibrant red fruits and lively acidity traits but is both more affordable and approachable on release than its Barolo and Barbaresco neighbours.

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a brick red hue. Fragrant rose petal scents mix with red to dark cherries, strawberries, earth, subtle leather and spicy dried herbs. Light to medium weight, delicious vibrant ripe red and dark cherry flavours are underpinned by crunchy acidity with some earth, dried herbs and spice also chiming in. Dry, stern tannins provide the finish with some grip. Excellent intensity with a long bright and juicy aftertaste. A fantastic example of Nebbiolo.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
