2016 Mairena Malbec

Totally opaque dark red black core with a deep dark red hue. The nose emits a mixture of red cherries, ripe plums and dried herbs over toasty cedar and spice. Plump, fleshy and rich in the mouth, medium weighted flavours of ripe dark cherries and plums laced with dried herbs and notions of fresh tobacco are followed by toasty cedar with a spicy finish. Slightly dryish but otherwise velvet smooth tannins. Good depth with a long spicy conclusion of ripe dark cherries, dark plums, dried herbs, fresh tobacco infusions and toasty cedar.
