Other Reviews....
Showing linearity and focus, the Luigi Pira 2016 Barolo Vignarionda is slightly closed upon first inspection. If you go back to the wine hours after you have opened the bottle, you will find that it has beautifully transformed and evolved. That tiny point of initial reduction serves the wine well and reminds you that this classic vintage is one with exceptional aging potential. A 4,000-bottle release, this wine offers energy and resonance. It is partially aged in French barrique and partially in botte grande.

The 2016 Barolo Vignarionda is an alluring beauty. Macerated cherry, rose petal, mint, blood orange and pomegranate all run through this exotic, arrestingly beautiful Barolo. The 2016 is dense, wonderfully perfumed and just striking Finesse and power come together beautifully, showing all the pedigree of this site.
