2016 Levantine Hill Katherine's Paddock Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with a glimmer of green to the outskirts and a watery hue. Elevated white peach, nectarine, citrus and dried honey scents are overlaid by some complexing gun flint like notes with hints of nougat and spicy cashew also evident. Elegant and refined yet with an understated richness and power not dissimilar to that of White Burgundy, the palate is graced with fleshy white peaches, nectarines and dried honey flavours which weave into sophisticated elements of biscuity oak, cashew, nougat and notions of gun flint. Finishes dry with perfectly judged acidity. Exceptional length with a very long lasting conclusion of spicy white peaches, nectarines, dried honey, biscuity oak, cashew, nougat and faint gun flint.
