2016 Koltz Dog Day Shiraz

This is the second bottling. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Youthful ripe dark cherry, plum, blueberry and liquorice aromas are followed by vanillin cedar and spicy pepper. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses juicy ripe dark cherry, liquorice and dark plum flavours over spicy vanillin cedar. Fine grained velvet like tannins with a dash of fresh acidity on the finish. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, liquorice, dark plums, vanillin cedar and spice.
