2016 Karrawatta Joseph Shiraz

Aged for 18 months in French oak barriques. Impressive colour displaying a black as night core with a deep dark purple black hue. Intense ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas join forces with dark plum over vanillin cedar and faint choc mint notes. A core of rich, voluptuously textured blackberry, liquorice, dark plum and choc mint flavours saturate the palate with underlying vanillin cedar and subtle spice. Finishes with good freshness. Very smooth, velvet like tannins enhance the wines plush feel. Excellent power with a long luscious blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, subtle choc mint and spicy vanillin cedar aftertaste.
