2016 Kaesler Stonehorse Shiraz

Matured for 15 months in 4 year old French oak. Impenetrable inky black colour with an equally deep black dark red hue. Aromas of ripe black cherry and liquorice jump out of the glass mixing with vanillin cedar, scorched earth, black olive and blackpepper. Full bodied, rich and chewy the palate sees black cherry and liquorice fruits underscored by firm grippy tannins. Elements of smoky vanillin cedar, scorched earth, leather and spicy pepper ensue. Dries out on the finish with a muscular medium length aftertaste.
