A blend of 88% Sangiovese and 12% Malbec picked early to retain freshness and vibrancy. Fermented with 30% whole bunches and matured in very old 500 litre French and Hungarian oak puncheons.
Deep dark red colour with a tinge of black around the edges and a bright light red hue. Scents of ripe red cherries and plum combine over dried herb infusions, subtle earth and spice. Light to medium weight the palate sports a generous flavour profile of spicy red cherries and plum subtlety infused with herbs and light earth. Dry savoury finish with finely grained perfectly integrated tannins and good freshness. Aftertaste of spicy ripe cherries, plum and dried herbs.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
