2016 Josef Chromy Chardonnay

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a greenish tinge to the outskirts. The nose displays aromas of peach, light dried honey and cashew which are followed by some citrusy nougat and spice notes. Possessing an elegant creaminess and moderate intensity the palate has flavours of white peaches, nectarines and citrus over subtle cashew and light spicy nougat. Dry finish, good acidity and a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented in French oak (33% new), a small percentage of mlf, matured for 12 months. Is now in cruise mode, and enjoying it, future development to be slow - a definite plus. As of now, all the components are in synergistic balance. Drink by 2026.
