Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a brick red hue. Aromas of dark cherries and red currants are interwoven with dried herb, earthy tobacco and spice notes. Medium bodied with supple palate entry, the palate serves up a savoury flavour profile of dark cherries, red currants, earth, dried herbs and spice. Slightly dryish finish with fine grained tannins and bright acidity. Medium length aftertaste.

While the ruby hue has a touch of bricking, the wine is in shape. A softer rendition with its acidity and pliable tannins, hint of cherries and spiced plums, earth, wood smoke and prosciutto. Savoury and moreish to the end, but drink now. Drink by 2019.
